Start at the parking area at Bottle Prairie*. Ride up Trail 450 and do the Fifteen Mile Creek Loop, return via Trail 450, and finish with the Eight Mile Loop.

Northwest XC Mountain Bike Challenge

I'm thinking of traveling down to Diamond Lake to do the NW CHallenge XC race. I've heard mixed reviews about this race from last year's participants. I also hear the trails are great and the views stunning. Looking for riders who want to go down Friday and return Sunday that weekend. Details on the race are still sketchy, ,but hopefully will be posted soon. What little data athere is can be found here:

Have you ever wanted to do the Ape Canyon and Smith Creek loop trails? Well, here's your chance! We'll be leaving from the Marble Mountain Snow Park, north-east of Cougar, WA at 8:00A. The Ape Canyon trail is in excellent condition this year. Even though the upper Smith Creek trail is currently in pretty rough condition, there are several work parties scheduled before Labor Day weekend which should clear out most of the brush in time for this ride.

Stella's Ridge and Growler's Gulch

I am trying to organize a ride for the Golden Spike connector trail that links Stella's Ridge to Growler's Gulch.

I've been told that this trail exists, but haven't ridden it (yet). I'm trying to make contact with anyone (Joel, Ken, Longview crew ???) who might know these trails and can lead this ride.

I think that it's supposed to be about 30-40 miles as an out-n-back. The pace will be up to the person that best knows the trails. I'd prefer to have a "fast" pace, but would be content to just have a solid day of riding with few breaks.
