Looking to crank
Submitted by Jeremy B on Mon, 12/01/2008 - 10:58pm.
I am new to portland from the State College/Penn State, PA area and looking to meet some new people and check out some of the areas trails. Any body want a fairly advanced riding buddy to rip it with? Come on, show me some trails and we will have fun. Got car, will drive. Willing to ride local stuff, scapoose, or a weekend ride out farther. Weekend big ride and dinner after???

sorry you had to move to
You gotta make it down to
You gotta make it down to the mecca of advanced technical riding (but there's something for everyone cuz if it's too big, then it's got a go around)...
Check out Black Rock Mountain Bike Area (the first sanctioned freeride trail network built on Oregon Department of Forestry land)... http://brmba.org will get you driving directions, and they've got a Ride forum as well for people looking to meet up/carpool to trail.

Wow BRMB = Sick
Hey Joe,
BRMB definitely looks pretty rad. Too bad my big DH days are not in affect any more. (Elbow complications) Would love to go down and make a fun movie of some sick riding though. Any takers?
I went to Scapoose the other day and was pretty impressed by the quality of single track there. Real tight with lots of little ups and downs. The slippery wet terrain made it quite fun. I had no idea where I was most of the time but that didn't stop me from enjoying myself.

BRMBA has an annual
BRMBA has an annual fundraiser raffle - hosted at Northern Lights Theatre Pub in Salem (seats 200+). and part of that is usually a screening of local independent mountain biking videos (SHORT clips). Last year, they raised over $10,000 (raffle ticket sales).
Let's ride!
Hey Jeremy,
You're welcomed to contact me anytime you're wanting to ride. I ride year-round as much as possible and can usually be talked into riding anytime. Scappoose is of course one of the easiest areas to get to on short notice, but there's good riding in Longview and Castle Rock during the Winter too. Depending on snow levels, there's riding at Siouxon Creek, Tarbell (outside Vancouver, WA) and possibly 3 Corner Rock but it could be overgrown too... Either way, drop me a line if you want to ride. That goes for any of you other "PUMPsters" too by the way!

New to the Area too...
Jeremy B and all others too,
I am new to the area, only been here 2 months, managed to make it to one PUMP/IMBA event and am JONES'N to get on my rig. I opted for a easy ride last Sunday in the infamous FP, snore... Would love to get out Saturday, earlier than later but whatever. Looking to ride any and all of PDX's(and surrounding areas) singletrack. Can drive or coordinate carpooling whatever. Hit me on this forum or email juanspeed@gmail.com or call 512.658.6933. My weeks are pretty open as of late.
I spent the last 14 years riding/racing XC in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana. I am 6 months post major back surgery, but I can keep up, give me a hollar.
Peace,
Keefer
