Results of 11/30 build day at Vernonia Bike Park
Great weather again for building. Area was still pretty soggy from previous days rain but that just made digging post holes easier!
Was a good cross-section of local mountain biking groups represented - Bernie with Trailhead Cycles (Hillsboro), Paul with Barlow Bikes (Vernonia/Saint Helens), Joe and Ryan of Westside Trail Federation (Hillsboro), and John Joy of Portland United Mountain Pedalers (Portland) as well as Scott of Vernonia City parks.
Accomplished main goals for the day: Construct 2nd branch on beginner ladder bridge and build A-frame with concrete armored entry to log round skinny. Also gathered additional raw materials from the park (concrete chunks and cedar rounds). Oh, and RIDE TEST! ...

And yes, there was definately some ride testing of the new branch turn and A-frame! As we add features it'll just get more fun to test out the lines.
NEXT build day slated for Vernonia is December 14th, OR if ya just can't wait to dig in the dirt we've got a December 7th build day lined up for Stub Stewart State Park (digging a sequence of grade reversals for drainage through a flat section - i.e. a short pump track).
