getting dirty after a loooong hiatus, looking4 ride partners
Hi, people. I've been a little hyperfocused on road riding and racing for the past 10 years and forgot I had a mountain bike. Forgive me. I have been shown the error of my ways, though my old Kona Lava Dome was unforgiving. He is now being coverted to a single speed, and I've just spent some time falling in love with dirt on my new 29er in Moab and Fruita. There was SUN there! You remember sun? That warm, orange-ish thing in the sky?
Anyway, I'm looking for ride partners who have time during the days (I work evenings tues-thurs) and weekends. I'm still a roadie, too, racing track and crits, so I ain't wearing baggie shorts, just so you know. You've been warned.
Surveyor's Ridge is a favorite of mine. Other than that, I am a complete ignoramus of local and nearby trail riding. I'm still getting the feel for dirt riding again, and taking it pretty mellow. Faster than slow but slower than fast, more technical than beginner, but intermediate sometimes leaves me walking. I'm more about slow uphill and spend a long day in the saddle than an all-out hammer fest. I don't know level that makes me. I don't ride like your grandma, but I also don't ride like Tonkin. But then, who does, besides Tonkin? Maybe his grandma?
Men, women, martians, venusians, it's all good... just looking for riding buddies. Hit me back offlist if you're interested at velodevi@gmail.com
