Mount St Helens Institute
Hello members of PUMP!
It was swell to meet you and go over some of the institute's plans for this summer! For those who I haven't met yet, I look forward towards meeting you out on the trail! Thank you so much for having Hailey and I come to your meeting at the Lucky Lab. I got some great ideas and inspiration knowing people are eager to ride. The presentations were swell, some great pictures and sounds like even better adventures can be made from biking.
Also, I would like to thank you for expressing your interest in Mount St. Helens Institute and more importantly the conservation projects to preserve our hiking trails in the forest and of course mountain biking trails! The recognition that you have made to assist in these efforts is greatly appreciated. I have attached a flexible conservation schedule that hopefully we can change to accommodate people's schedules if needed.
I just wanted to give everyone a general timeline of events and will drill down the specifics as the snow melt reveals what needs to be addressed.
If you have any questions or want to help out while you are biking in the Gifford Pinchot let me know! Thank you so much! David sounded interested in the MSH area and suggested the Smith Creek and Ape Canyon trails. Hopefully PUMP can help out once the snow clears up! Here's the next few signature Volunteer Events that we have in store and you can RSVP online so we know how many tools to bring at http://mshinstitute.org/2008-work-party-events
