Lewis River Trail

I attempted a ride on the Lewis River Trail this past week and found it
unrideable as it has yet to be cleared. Probably 3 - 6 major blow-downs
per mile. I started from the Southern terminus as NSFS 90 was being
cleared by a road crew at that time and wasn't open past the water fall
trail parking area. The ranger station warned me that it might be tough
to get through and said that no definite date was set for the work to
be done on clearing the trail.
Lewis River trail work
The Mount St Helens Institute still has a trail work party set for June 21/Summer Solstice on the Lewis River Trail. go to: https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?AP=1048631276&OR=1&Embedded=ON
for more information and registration. You can also find out other work party events sponsored by the Institute. It is a good way for PUMP members to show their faces in front of land managers and people who have something to say about what happens on our 'public' lands!
Lewis River Trail
Lewis River
Rode Lewis River from Curly Creek to Lower Falls Campground 6/29/08. Cleared for the most part. Probably 5 logs or Obstacles to deal with. Other than that the trail is in great shape.
Note: the two or three bridges that have been in bad shape for years, just below the lunch counter, are more tired than in 07.

Good to go
I've heard it's all clear, but I haven't been out there myself this year.
