The Buck Creek Trail has been my pet project for several years. On Saturday morning I am leading a group ride for strong riders.
Ride rating: Intermediate to Gonzo w/ big hill climbs and a fast downhill that makes the climbs worth it.
Length of ride: 2 to 2:30 hour ride, 12-14 miles
Ride time: Saturday, 9 AM at the trailhead
Directions: From Portland take I-84 to Hood River. Take exit 64 & cross Hood River bridge to Washington. Turn left onto Hwy 14, drive a few miles, Turn right on the road just before the bridge (Hwy 141 Trout Lake), follow road to the end, turn left as it merges with Hwy 141. Drive about 2 miles, turn left at the sign for Northwestern Lake. Follow road & cross over the bridge. Meeting place is at the main Buck Creek info board located at the fourway intersection with Buck Creek Road, Lakeview Road, and Nestor Peak Road. You can't miss it.Buck Creek Map:

Not cool
Yo, Ted... posting conflicting rides is considered "not cool" (I've been scorned about this in the past) just FYI... :)
If you have my #, call me today. Thanks dude....

Ooops
Sorry Chris, Didn't mean to ruffle and feathers.
I rember being at a PUMP meeting when this type of thing came up in discussion and the verdict was that PUMP membership was large enough to handle multiple events on the same day. The final judgement was that people were encouraged to go ahead and post the events.
I trust that your ride was a better attended as it was at a more reasonable time in the day. Mine was at the butt crack of dawn...
See you on the trail soon - Ted
