Bear Springs Trap XC

I went up to Mount Hood last weekend to race Bear Springs Trap. What an amazing course! The snow had just finally melted, (it helped that it was about 85 degrees on Saturday...) and the conditions were perfect. Much of the mostly single track course was on the motor-cycle trails around Clear Creek campground; it was a bit rocky, but dry conditions and banked corners made for fast decents. The race organizers did a TON of trail work in the area, and there are some really amazing trails ready and waiting for mountain bikers, clear of down trees and snow (with a few man-made obsticles in for fun!). Beware, the creeks are running EXTREMELY high, and some of the trail is under water (they put out stumps to walk on, but they probably removed them after the race).
