Looking For Newton Road In Forest Park?

Newton Road! 

Want to ride the newly enhanced Newton Road section in Forest Park? Try out this often overlooked piece of Forest Park singletrack. You'll be glad you did:

Directions:

From Portland:

Take Hwy 30 towards St Helens;

Go through the town of Linnton;

You will have to park on the shoulder of NW Marina Way here: Marina Way Parking;

Cross Hwy 30 (watch out! Real life Frogger is different than the game - ha, ha!); and

Go right (North towards St Helens) on the Hwy 30 sidewalk and take the first gate enterance on your left: Newton Gate Entrance

It will be kind of like this: Google Map
but make the left and go up the (unmarked) gravel Newton Road entrance. It's not marked because it's a fireroad.

Go around the gate and up the fire road. The road will fork. Take the left (lower) fork.
