Mountain Biking in the Gorge Games
Short Track Cross Country Race (STXC)
The short track cross country race will be held in the Post Canyon area of Hood River, OR. This event is a shortened cross-country style race, designed to be spectator friendly and easily televised. The course is 100% rideable regardless of terrain and weather conditions. It is a multiple lap race with lap times not less than 5 minutes for the fastest riders. Race duration is usually 30-60 minutes depending on abilities. Categories will consist of junior male/female, sport male/female, expert male/female and pro male/female. Cross country mountain bikes are recommended for this event, as there will be sections of technical single-track and climbing involved. There will be practice runs for all competitors prior to race times.
All participants will receive a Gorge Games technical tee shirt, athlete’s appreciation bag, athlete’s pass to Adventure Village, Athletes Village, all Gorge Games sporting venues and all Community events. Not to mention an experience you’ll always remember!
