Small Mountain Bikes Wanted

Hi, all.
Two of my female friends are wanting to get into mtb and are looking for good beginner bikes.
They are about my size, so a 16" or 17" would probably be best. Definitely looking for full suspesion and preferably disk breaks. They'd like to buy something that will get them started and last them a season or two before upgrading.
They of course would like to spend as little as possible, but the 500-700 range would be their tops.
