The second TRAC meeting will take place the evening of Thursday May 15th at the Forest Grove ODF office located at 801 Gales Creek Road. The public is welcome to attend this meeting - your presence is appreciated! The TRAC charter and the second party Recreation Assessment will be discussed at this meeting.
If you are unable to attend, but have mountain bike related comments/issues that you would like TRAC to address, please let me know.

• The weather is looking good and Larch should be free of snow from 4 corners down (email me if you know for sure!!).
• This will be our first work party of the season and there is a lot of winter clean up.
• We need a strong turnout to complete the rehabilitation of the trail (Please bring/drag a friend with you).
• We will have a short informational meeting.
We will be riding the Siouxon Creek trail. Please bring food, water, and appropriate clothing. A change of clothes for the ride home is also recommended. We should be back in Portland between 3-4pm
We will be carpooling from Gateway Transit Center, leaving at 9:15am. See the map for the parking lot location, it is the one that is not near the parking garage and does not have gates.

Ride at Syncline on Saturday, May 24th. Trailhead meeting is at 11:00. Meet at the Gateway transit center south lot at 9:00 AM for carpooling. See the attached map.
Be prepared for climbing. Probably do 2 laps of climbing up and descending down.
Plan on 5 hours of riding time with breaks as needed.

The Buck Creek Trail has been my pet project for several years. On Saturday morning I am leading a group ride for strong riders.
Ride rating: Intermediate to Gonzo w/ big hill climbs and a fast downhill that makes the climbs worth it.

The Urban Assault Ride™ is a funky bike scavenger hunt that involves street-smart riding, obstacle courses, and a huge after party. Mental muscle is just as important as bike skills as teams of 2 choose their own course to checkpoints around the city.

JD & I hear this trail has come out from under its snow blanket and is ready for riding. Several folks have e-mailed us that they've ridden it over the last two weeks and it is in pristine condition! The long weekend will give us time for a Monday recovery.

Well, trying to get out and ride. Requested some info from some longview guys for Stella or Growlers and downloaded a bunch of data. We can decide at the Gateway Transit center at 9:00am where we want to go. Siouxon is another option too.

Recently there was an OBRA xc mtb race at Bear Springs Trap which is in the McCubbins Gulch area off Hwy 216 just past the junction of Hwy 216 and Hwy 26.
The trailhead parking area is a Northwest Forest Pass permit area about 19 miles from Goverment Camp. The meeting spot for this ride will be the Huckelberry Inn restaurant right in the main village area of Government Camp on Government Camp Loop road. We will meet at Huckelberry Inn at 10am and carpool out to the trailhead (about 19 miles away).
Going over to post canyon tomorrow, meet at 9:00 AM at the Gateway transit center for teh carpool, or at the end of Post Canyon Road around 10:30.

Please join me for a Powell Butte Group Ride: Tuesday June 10th @ 5:45pm - 8:00 pm -The ride will start @ 6:00 pm
Meet @ 5:45 pm @ The Springwater Trail entrance of Powell Butte. approx S.E. 145th ave & The Springwater Trail.
If you have to drive, you can park at the end of S.E 145th Ave. (either side of the Springwater Trail)
If you prefer to park in the Powell Butte Official Lot on the top, we'll be passing through around 6:30 pm.
Join PUMP for our Wed night BBQ ride in Forest Park.
We'll meet at the Skyline Tavern @ 6:00 break into groups based on who shows up, then ride the "wild side" of Forest Park (German town area). We'll typically cover ~10 - 20 miles.
Follow it up by a potluck style BBQ at Skyline Tavern, Bring somthing to Q. PUMP will supply the hot coals & post-ride drinks can be purchased from the bar.
